Default Username / Password

Default Username
Student / Faculty: First initial of the student’s First Name, followed by the First initial of their Last Name, and then their Unique Student ID number.
Example: If a student name is Jane Doe and student ID is 123456, then New Account Name will be jd123456.

Staff: Entire First Name and may include a few characters from the last name if there is another employee with the same First Name.
Example: Justin Smith | Username: justin or justins or justinsa

Other Users (Guests, Temporary Employees, Continuing Education Students, etc.): Temporary access is handled directly by IT upon a case by case basis.

Default Password

Faculty / Staff: There is no default password for Faculty and Staff, they reset their password upon first logon.

IMPORTANT NOTE
  • Self Help Password Reset Process is not applicable with The College of Westchester.
  • If students want to reset their password they need to call BlackBeltHelp to get assistance with password resets.
  • Faculty & Staff – must contact the CW Helpdesk at 914-831-0448 to get assistance with a password reset.
  • Onsite Helpdesk Business Hours :
    • Monday- Thursday: 8 am – 7 pm
    • Friday & Saturday – 8 am – 2 pm
  • Onsite Helpdesk Location : Room 315
  • Accounts automatically get unlocked every 15 minutes if they are locked out.
