Account Retention Policy

Description

An alumnus, emeritus, or other user that has left the school needs access to a system.

Note: All major systems with student or employee information is maintained using single sign-on technology.

Alumni

• Long term, graduated students (alumni) have access to: Student Email only if they have requested it.
• Access to other services is terminated ONE year after graduation.
• If an alumnus has never had an account (they graduated before the system was in place), they can obtain an account by reaching out to Student Services

Emeriti (retired employees)
• Long term, retired employees (emeriti) have access to: CW Email, Staff & Faculty Portal
• Access to other services is terminated upon leaving the college.
• If an emeritus has never had an account (they retired before the system was in place), they can obtain an account by contacting the Human Resources Manager and then the request will be forwarded to the Helpdesk

Other Users
• Long term, students that have left the school WITHOUT graduating immediately lose access to all services unless requested by Student Services.
• Long term, employees that have left the school WITHOUT retiring lose all sorts of access Immediately.
